Abstract:
This invention relates to new mercapto-amide derivatives possessing inhibitory activities against the neutral endopeptidase and the angiotensin converting enzyme, and represented by general formula (I), wherein R<1> is hydrogen or a mercapto-protective group, R<2> is hydrogen or aryl optionally substituted with lower alkylenedioxy, R<3> is lower alkyl substituted with acyl, A is a single bond or lower alkylene, X is lower alkylene, Y is a single bond, O or S, Z is a single bond or lower alkylene, and n is 1 or 2, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, to processes for the preparation thereof and to a pharmaceutical composition comprising the same.
