Abstract:
PURPOSE:To cut a sewing thread in the vicinity of a needle hole and to reduce the length of the remaining thread formed at the end edge of a stitch by forming a mobile blade and a fixed blade in a plate shape and, simultaneously, moving the mobile blade along a vertical surface. CONSTITUTION:A fixed blade 49 in the plate shape is fixed at the lower side of a throat plate 7a, and the blade part is located in the vicinity of a needle hole 7a1. A mobile blade 48 in the plate shape is swayed along the vertical surface in slide-contacting on the blade part of the fixed blade 49, the sewing thread from the needle hole 7a1 up to a horizontal hook is with drawn by the rocking movement, and it is sheared between the fixed blade 49 and it. A driving shaft 35 is linked to an L link 41 pivoted to a housing body 7 and rocking by a prescribed driving means and the mobile blade 48, and the driving shaft 35 is elevated along with the rocking of the L link 41. By the elevating action, the mobile blade 48 is rocked.
