PURPOSE: To observe the shape, diameter, etc., of a grain being granulated by arranging the tip, in which a photographing device and a high-speed strobe are placed in parallel and integrated, close to the raw granular body in a granulation tank.
CONSTITUTION: A raw material is placed into a granulation tank 1, a liq. binder is sprayed from a spray gun 5, air is blown from an air port, and a slit plate 2 is rotated to granulate the raw material. The tip of a photographing device 10 is fixed to the side wall of the tank 1, the end of an optical fiberscope 12 is positioned at the tip, and a CCD camera 13 is fixed to the other end to constitute a CCU 14. The photographing device is connected to a grain measuring device 26 through the CCU 14 and a still picture processing device. Consequently, the grain is observed and photographed during granulation and coating, the shape and diameter of the grain being granulated are recognized, and desired operation is performed.
