Abstract:
PURPOSE:To permit execution of curving works in using the open shield method by joining concrete casings with one another simply and without dislocation and preventing the joint from splitting. CONSTITUTION:A detent projection 16 having a root 17 in the form of a truncated cone or pyramid and an enlarged head 18 of a dia. smaller than the roc>t 17 is provided projectingly at one end face of each of the concrete casings 4 for an underground structure, while a box 25 for grout filling having an opening 26 in the form of a truncated cone or pyramid, where the root 17 of the projection 16 is fitted, is embedded in the other end face of the casing 4. The concrete casings 4 connected with one another are subjected to grout fixation by inserting one of the detent projections 16 into the other box 25 while the root 17 is fitted in its opening 26 and filling the boxes 25 with a grouting material 28.
