Japanese Patent JPS4321211
Kind Code:
B1
Abstract:
1,131,520. High voltage switches; vacuum switches. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. 12 Sept., 1966 [21 Oct., 1965], No. 40560/66. Heading H1N. A high-voltage circuit breaker comprises a plurality of series-connected vacuum switches 21, 22, 22a, 21a, two of which 22, 22a are mounted upon a metal casing 11 while the other two are mounted upon hollow insulators 44, 44a attached to the metal casing 11, the latter being mounted on the top of a vertical supporting insulator 12. The vacuum switches 22, 22a are resiliently mounted on the casing 11 by bolts 56 and spring washers (58) (Fig. 7, not shown) while switches 21, 21a are similarly mounted on metal boxes 46, 46a on the hollow insulators 44, 44a, each of the switches being enclosed in an insulator 60, 70, 70a, 60a. The switches are opened through linkages 100, 102 by a spring 93 when a latch 94 is released; nuts 112 are adjustable to ensure they open simultaneously. A damper 113 reduces the speed of the contacts towards the end of the motion. The switches are reclosed through contact pressure springs 115 by drawing insulating rod 92 downwards. Voltage dividing capacitors 130, 135, 135a, 130a are connected across the switches. The easing 11 may be provided with observation windows (143) (Fig. 1, not shown). Additional switches (60c) may be mounted on further insulators (44c) (Fig. 6, not shown).
