Abstract:
1347355 Laminates NIPPON SODA CO Ltd 19 April 1971 [6 April 1970] 26178/71 Heading B5N [Also in Divisions C3 and D1] In Example 12, 12 layers of glass fibre cloth which have been impregnated with a composition formed from a 1,2-polybutadiene resin containing both neutralized and free carboxyl groups (see Division C3), and toluene, dicumyl peroxide and γ-methacryloxypropyl trimethoxysilane, are formed into a laminate by curing at 170 C. under pressure. In Example 13, 4 layers of impregnated chopped strand mat are similarly laminated, the impregnating composition comprising a similar resin, styrene, di-tertbutyl-p-cresol, dicumyl peroxide, CaCO 3 and γ-glycidooxypropyl trimethoxysilane. In Example 15, two layers of polished steel plate are adhered together by compositions comprising similar resins, dicumyl peroxide or t-butylbenzoate, and a monomer selected from styrene, t-butylstyrene and n-butylstyrene.
