Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS474654
Kind Code:
Y1
Abstract:
1,247,265. Controlling clutch/brake combinations. MITSUBISHI DENKI K.K. 11 July, 1969 [12 July, 1968], No. 35120/69. Heading F2L. The clutch in a clutch/brake combination for a machine driven by an electric motor 10 and required to stop in a predetermined position is engaged either manually by an L-shaped lever 42 acting with play on a sleeve 34 to axially move the output shaft 16 carrying the clutch disc 20 so that the disc abuts a flywheel 14, or electromagnetically by electromagnets 82 and armatures 86 on a Z-plate 66 engaging the sleeve 34 to move it axially, without moving the lever 42, to provide inching drive to the predetermined position should the lever 42 be returned prematurely. Springs 80 return the plate 66 and sleeve 34 on de-energizing the electromagnets or releasing the lever 42 to engage clutch disc 20 against a brake disc 30. The lever 42 is formed at one end 48 as a yoke, Figs. 2 and 3 (not shown), carrying a pin 46 engaging with play in oversized holes (40) in the sleeve 34 to allow the lost motion. The electromagnets 82 may be controlled by the speed circuit at Specification 1,247,264.
