Abstract:
A. Phenylalkylamino guanidines A = alkylene group with straight chain and 2-3C atoms R1 and R2 are same or different H, halogen, methyl, ethyl, methoxy or ethoxy B. Acid addition salts of (I) with organic- or inorganic acids. Lower the blood pressure. The new cpds. have comparable or lower toxicity than known hypotensives, with the same activity in smaller doses. The new cpds. also have a better resorption which gives a lower ratio: oral:intraperitoneal toxicity. The new cpds. do not cause diarrhoea.
