Japanese Patent JPS4843096
Kind Code:
B1
Abstract:
1319392 Olefin ammoxidation catalysts ASAHI KASEI KOGYO KK 19 April 1971 [31 Jan 1970] 20365/71 Heading B1E [Also in Division C2] An olefin ammoxidation catalyst comprises, in oxide form, molybdenum, bismuth, iron, cobalt, phosphorus and alkali metal selected from sodium and potassium. The catalyst contains, per 12 atoms of molybdenum, from 1 to 11 atoms of bismuth, from 1 to 9 atoms of iron, from 1 to 6 atoms of cobalt, from 0.5 to 2 atoms of sodium and/or potsasium and from 6 to 12 atoms of total bismuth plus cobalt. The catalyst, the exact phosphorus content of which is not critical, additionally may comprise carrier material selected from silica, alumina and diatomaceous earth; the carrier material may constitute up to 70, preferably from 40 to 60, weight per cent of the catalyst which may be prepared by generally conventional procedures which may involve spray drying. The Specification contains numerous examples relating to catalysts which contain 50 weight per cent of silica and also comparative examples relating to catalysts which contain 50 or 59.7 weight per cent of silica but which either do not contain at least one of the specified elements or contain such elements in relative proportions other than as specified. Reference is made to Specifications 867438, 932046, 947364 and 971038.
