1416890 SBR compositions FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 27 Oct 1972 [28 Oct 1971] 49777/72 Heading C3P [Also in Division D2] Compositions used in colour-reactive recording and copying sheets (see Division D2) comprise a reactive clay and an aromatic carboxylic acid or alkali-metal salt thereof in one or two layers free of components capable of giving the colour reaction. The composition may also include a binder, which in the examples is a styrene-butadiene latex. The aromatic acids and salts used in the examples are: salicylic acid, 3,5-di-tert-butyl-salicylic acid, metanitrobenzoic acid, para-aminobenzoic acid, paraanisic acid, 2,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid, 2- naphthoic acid, 5-secbutyl-salicylic acid, sodium salicylate, sodium salt of 5-tert-butyl-salicylic acid, potassium 2-hydroxy-3-naphthoate, metahydroxybenzoic acid, and 3-cyclohexyl-salicylic acid, and (Example 3) combinations of salicylic acid with sodium 5-tert-butylsalicylate and of 3,5-ditertbutyl-salicylic acid with potassium metahydroxybenzoate.
