Abstract:
A material made from waste rubber, esp. tyres and elastomer binding agent contains the rubber in the form of pieces of 0.1-100 cm3 volume each, but mostly of 1-20cm3 volume. The binding agent is of cellular structure, only partly filling the spaces between the rubber pieces and pref. equal to 5-15% of the dry; bulk density of the rubber. Prefd. binding agents are moisture-hardening isocyanate or polyisocyanate or a 2-component polyurethane.
