1394794 Heterocyclic amine-imines RICHARDSON-MERRELL Inc 23 March 1973 [17 April 1972] 14213/73 Heading C2C Novel tautomeric compounds (I) and (II) (including salts and optical isomers thereof) wherein m is 1 to 3; n is 3 to 7; each of R and R1 is hydrogen, a straight or branched alkyl group of from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, a halogen atom, trifluoromethyl, trifluoromethylthio, trifluoromethoxy, phenyl, phenoxy or an alkoxy group of from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, with the proviso that both R and R1 are not hydrogen and with the proviso that when m is equal to 1 and one of R or R1 is hydrogen, the other of R or R1 is not alkoxy of from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, are made by reacting compounds (IV) with compounds (V). (preferably as the hydrochloride). Pharmaceutical preparations showing diuretic and anti-coagulant actions contain the novel compounds as active ingredient; administration may be orally or parenterally.
