The invention comprises fluorinated organic salts of formula wherein n is an integer of 1 to 7 and M is a Ag, K, Rb, Cs or tetra-alkylammonium ion. They are prepared by reacting a corresponding perfluorocycloalkanone with a fluoride MF. In examples the Cs salts of perfluorocyclohexanol and perfluorocyclopentanol are prepared.
