Abstract:
Compounds of the general formula: R1R4 ¦¦ R2-Si-R-Ti-R5 ¦¦ R3R6 wherein R1, R2 and R3 are selected from the group consisting of organic groups and organosilicon groups, R4 and R5 each have not more than 20 carbon atoms and are selected from the group consisting of alkoxy, alkenoxy, acyloxy, trialkylsiloxy groups and groups capable of forming a co-ordinate bond with titanium by donating two electrons from constituent oxygen, nitrogen or sulphur, R6 has not more than 20 carbon atoms and is selected from the group consisting of alkoxy, alkenoxy, acyloxy and trialkylsiloxy groups and groups of the general formula: R1 ¦ -R-Si-R2 ¦ R3 and R is a divalent organic group.
