Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS501830
Kind Code:
B1
Abstract:
1276869 Insulation stripping tool J KRAMPE 22 Dec 1969 [20 Dec 1968] 62423/69 Heading B4W [Also in Division H2] A stripping tool has a pair of U-shaped jaws 4, 5, to each of which is articulated a clamping lever 6, and a cutting lever 7, the former located in an elongated slot (12), Fig. 4 (not shown), in the latter, Figs. 3, 4 (not shown). The levers are normally urged into the position shown by leaf spring 14 acting against a free roller 13. The clamping lever 6 has toothed jaws 16 at its free end, and the cutting lever has, at its free end, a cutting edge 17 with an angular centring cutout (19), Fig. 4 (not shown), a distance member 22, see Fig. 6 (not shown), which interlocks with a corresponding member of the other cutting lever, and a sprung stop plate 18, the distance member and stop plate also having cutouts. The cutting edge 17 may be integral with lever 7. In operation, the opposing pairs of levers are brought opposite each other, the core to be stripped being located between them. As the jaws approach each other, the insulation is gripped by the clamping levers, further motion of the jaws constraining the free ends of the respective pairs of levers to move apart, stripping the insulation, Fig. 2 (not shown). After release of the handles 1, 2, the jaws 4, 5 are urged to their initial position by a spring (not shown).
