Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5065020
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
1489597 Sound insulation J LINECKER 2 Oct 1974 [9 Oct 1973] 42841/74 Heading F2X [Also in Divisions E1 and B5] Concrete is faced with a fibre fleece of a thermoplastic synthetic resin, cast directly into the surface thereof to form a sound insulating surface thereto. The fleece is preferably a continuous fibre fleece, and may have a density of 250 gm./m.2. Needle-punched fleeces are preferred, but bonded fleeces may also be used. A multi-layered fleece with more or less consolidated intermediate layers may be used. A density fleece gives more sound insulation, with less penetration of the concrete, but a less dense fleece can be employed, with complete concrete penetration. Alternatively, a fused outer surface can be provided on the fleece. The preferred materials are polyolefins, especially polyethylene, polypropylene and copolymers of ethylene and/or propylene, with one another or with other olefins. Polyamide or polyester fleeces may also be employed. The fleece may be planar, or be shaped to have an undulating cross-section, or an undulating surface may be provided on a mould. The fleece is stretched over the mould, and may be pinned to it.
