Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5071962
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
A method of weaving on shuttleless looms by which two separate pieces are produced alongside each other in the same shedding plane, by means of weft inserters working coaxially from opposite sides, and putting in a looped thread reaching across one half of the warp width, whilst at the edges of the pieces facing each other, a selvedge if form by a row of stitches. The shuttleless loom has weft inserting tubes on each side with a common drive - motor main shaft, feeding in the looped weft for the two separate pieces of fabric between which the selvedge knitter is positioned. All operations from beam let-off, shedding, beating-up, to fabric take-up are effected simultaneously for both pieces. Prodn. is doubled for a relatively very small design and capital outlay.
