Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5074442
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
1483923 Automatic control EASTMAN KODAK CO 17 Oct 1974 [23 Oct 1973] 45022/74 Heading G3N In a device for recording characters on a lightsensitive medium and having galvanometer driven mirrors 7, 8 which deflect a modulated light beam B, a beam position circuit 13 is provided to produce a drive signal for determining the positions of the lines of characters on a page 10, the circuit 13 including a linearity correction circuit 2 to compensate for non-linearitier in the response of the respective galvanometer. As shown, an optical printer unit comprises vertical and horizontal deflection galvanometers 6, 9 which rotate respective mirrors 7, 8. When it is desired to start a new line L 12 , a control unit 14 generates a digital code LP and a timing pulse T 1 which cause a position voltage LV' 12 to be applied to a summing amplifier 5 which drives galvanometer 6. In response to a second timing pulse T 2 , part or all of the code LP is also applied to a correction circuit 2 which supplies an appropriate correction voltage CV 3 to the other input of amplifier 5. The voltage CV 3 compensates for the predetermined non-linear response of galvanometer 6 in its position corresponding to the new line. The empirically determined correction voltages CV 1 to CV n are set by resistances CR 1 to Rn, Fig. 2 (not shown) and are selected by an analog multi-plexer (21). The lines on page 10 may be arranged in groups S 1 -S n , each correction voltage being applied throughout the time that its corresponding line group is being scanned.
