[Also in Division G4], A fluid amplifier of laminated construction is provided with one or more additional laminations 10 provided with perforated patches 11 -14 located adjacent the various fluid inlet passages to act as filters and flow straighteners. Additional spacer laminations 19 can be incorporated to alter the pressure drops across the patches. The Specification describes the invention applied to a single stage analogue amplifier and both single and double stage digital devices, and sets out optimum dimensions. The patches can be produced by either photo-etching or inection moulding.
