1516552 Radiators for heating and cooling buildings STRAMAX AG 26 Sept 1975 [26 Sept 1974] 39602/75 Heading F4S A panel for a surface heating or cooling installation comprises self-supporting thermally insulating material, e.g. foam plastics or cork, having recesses 3 to receive pipes 6 and formed at the edge 8a with grooves 9a and tongues 10a formed so as to be directed in the same direction but are directed in the opposite direction to the grooves 9b and tongues 10b of the other two adjacent edges 8b which face the opposite direction to enable two adjacent panels to be interlocked. Heat distribution plates 4 are laid on the panel and are formed with recesses 5 to fit into the recesses 3. As shown the panel is used for floor heating, being situated between a concrete layer 1 and a floor finish 7.
