Abstract:
A textile tube intended partic. for winding synthetic yarns from the melt, has a tubular core of matl. sufficiently rigid to maintain its shape under pressure, and an elastically deformable outer covering. The outer covering may consist of a foamed resin and the entire tube may be of the same matl. throughout, but with the core having fine pores and the outer sheath a coarse cellular structure. The tube cannot be deformed and damaged by the constriction of the yarn due to shrinkage on drying out. The yarn can be unwound for further processing, in a normal manner.
