Abstract:
The hydraulic control arrangement consists of a hydraulic cylinder and piston which is driven by a camshaft. The piston pumps fluid to a control cylinder with piston which acts against the valve. When the top of this piston reaches a by-pass channel in the cylinder, the hydraulic fluid can flow back directly to the fluid reservoir and the piston stroke is ended. The first piston pumps more fluid than is required for the movement of the valve. The first piston has an annular groove which is connected to the pressure side of the pump. A sleeve with control edge is mounted over this groove, and can be moved to and fro over the piston relative to the annular groove and controls the position at which the fluid from the pressure side is returned to the fluid reservoir.
