Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5220687
Kind Code:
B1
Abstract:
1,200,873. Incinerator doors and door frames. MIDLAND-ROSS CORP. 18 March, 1969 [18 March, 1968], No. 14207/69. Heading F4B. The charging aperture 28 of an incinerator 5 is closed by a door adapted to seal against a rubber gasket 23 mounted in a door frame 11 which surrounds the aperture 28 and is secured to the shell 14 of the incinerator. The frame 11 defines an annular space 21 to which an air supply is fed, thereby cooling the gasket 23, and from which air for combustion is discharged, through perforations in the inward edge of the frame, in the form of a conical curtain 34 which prevents the emission of fumes from the incinerator 5 when the door is opened for charging. The door which is refractory lined, is mounted on adjustable hinges (Fig. 2, not shown) and may be clamped shut by circumferentially spaced eye bolt and wing nut assemblies (Fig. 3, not shown) hingedly mounted on the door frame.
