Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5231595
Kind Code:
B1
Abstract:
1,270,695. Shearing. B.R.G. 18 April, 1969 [25 March, 1969], No. 20070/69. Heading B3W. In hydraulically-controlled shears including a movable blade 1 and a fixed blade (not shown) for cutting metal sheet, the rake angle of the movable blade is variable by means of a handoperated indicator (not shown) displaying the inclination for sheets of differing thickness and resistance to shear, a cam 4 controlled by the indicator, pilot valves 2a, 3a controlling the level of the ends of the blade 1a and means, such as the lever and pulley means shown, which transmit movement of the cam 4 to two valves 2a, 3a. To vary the stroke of the blade 1 for different sheet widths multiple gauging stops 12, for selective engagement with a switch 11 linked to a member moving with the blade 1a to limit downward movement of the blade, are provided. The stops are pivotally mounted on a lever 10 rigid with a plate 5, which is caused to move vertically by rotation of the cam 4, so that the height of the stop varies with adjustment of the rake angle of the movable blade.
