1375198 Hydraulic accumulators J H MERCIER 13 Oct 1971 [28 Oct 1970] 47695/71 Heading F1D [Also in Divisions F2 and G3] An hydraulic transmitter or accumulator comprises a flow device 16 in the form of a hollow column for supporting a bladder 19 when the same collapses due to expulsion of fluid from the chamber 20 it encloses. The device 16 comprises a hollow cylindrical body 24 having orifices 27, the body 24 being surrounded by a permeable jacket 28 comprising a stack of annular discs 30 defining between them interstices 29 which are of such a size to permit flow through the wall of device 16 but to prevent damage to the bladder 19 when it engages the device 16 upon collapse.
