Abstract:
A perfluorolactone having the formula wherein n is an integer of 2 to 4, is produced by reacting a fluoro compound having the formula I(CF2)n COX wherein n is an integer of 2 to 4 and X represents a halogen atom, -OR or -NR1R2, and R, R1 and R2 respectively represent hydrogen atom or a C1 - C10 alkyl group, with fuming sulfuric acid.
