Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a fuel assembly for water feeding effect of emergency core spray system to improve in case of loss of coolant accident. CONSTITUTION:With fuel assembly 1 provided with a plurality of fuel rods 2 bundled with spacer, the top tie plate coupled at the top and the bottom thereof anf the bottom tie plate not shown in the diagram and cylindrical chnnel 4 fitted with the bundle of said fuel rod 2, above which the top flared internal channel 5 is provided coaxially for said channel 4 with the bottom section thereof to penetrate through the top tip plate 3. Thereby, when the coolant is sprayed on the fuel assmembly 1 from the emergency core spray system in case of the loss of coolant accident, the internal channel 5 provides a passage of elevating high pressure steam which is evaporated in contact with fuel rod 2, for the air gap between said channels 4, 5 for form funnel for delivery of coolant into the fuel assembly 1, enabling the coolant feed to carry out effectively.
