Abstract:
The built-in pump in the ski boot ensures that the air bolster can readily be maintained without a separate pump which may readily be lost. Since the air bolster is deflated for resting the feet the built in pump is at all times available for inflating. The ski boot has at its back above the heel the pump assembly with projecting pumping plunger and knob for actuating the pump piston. This pump inflates the double lining within the boot which supports the inner boot lining within the moulded integral outer boot shell. The boot has also a deflating valve which is actuated by depressing the diaphragm type cover on the boot side.
