1365229 17 - Cyanosteroids ROUSSEL UCLAF 1 June 1972 [1 June 1971] 25576/72 Heading C2U The invention comprises compounds of Formula Ia, Ib, Ic, VI, VII, VIII and IX in the following reaction scheme wherein all conversions are effected in a conventional manner: wherein R is C 1-3 alkyl; Alk is an alkyl group; K is a cyclic ketal group; and A and B are each alkyl or aryl, or NAB is a heterocyclic ring. Compounds Ia, Ib and Ic are said to possess progestomimetic, antiestrogenic and antiandrogenie activities, and may be made up with carriers into pharmaceutical compositions for oral, parenteral and rectal administration.
