PURPOSE: To prevent uncomfortable feeling of people in the surroundings, and lower the amount of power consumed and improve the cooling faculty by sloping a partition plate and a rear surface air exhaust hole to be provided in the upper stage space rearwardly and upwardly, and similarly sloping a propeller fan, in the title air conditioner for use in a factory or the like.

CONSTITUTION: Air sucked up by a Silocco fan 14 is cooled at a cooler 10, and discharged from a blow-off duct 16 through a fan casing 15. Condensed water during cooling is collected in a drain tank 3 through a drain pan 12 and a hose 27. Air sucked up by the propeller fan 20 through an air filter 6 is heat- exahanged with a condenser 5, and converted into hot air and flows rearwardly of the partition plate 13 through a hot air stream passage 26. The air is then rectified into a straight wind direction by a bellmouth 21 and exhausted upwardly through a rear surface exhaust air hole 24. By this construction, hot air does not directly hit people in the surroundings and hence uncomfortable feeling is not caused. Further, the ventilation resistance can be reduced and power consumed can also be reduced.
