Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain high flow accuracy with a needle of large diameter, by forming a bleed air flow inlet to an internal wall surface of an intake passage in the vicinity of the upstream side of a suction piston and communicating to connect this flow inlet to a fuel passage inserted with the needle.

CONSTITUTION: The captioned carburetor is operated in such a manner that a suction piston 3 is moved responsively to an intake air quantity to change area of a Venturi part 8 while a needle 4 connected to said piston 3 is intruded into a fuel passage 20 to work cooperatively with a metering jet 21 and measure fuel. Here a bleed air flow inlet 24 is formed on an internal wall surface of an intake passage located in the direction at a right angle with the moving direction of the piston 3 and in the vicinity of the upstream side of the piston 3. While a plural number of bleed air outlet holes 25 are formed on internal wall surfaces of the jet 21 and communicated to said flow inlet 24 through an annular passage 26 around the jet 21 and air bleed passage 27.
