PURPOSE: To achieve reduced cost and easier management with a shorter pipeline eliminating water collection pump by allowing a supernatant flowing over into gutters of precipitators to flow to a water collection tank on the side of a post-treatment equipment through a water gathering pipe provided at the bottom of the precipitators.
CONSTITUTION: After the development and growth of flocs with a coagulant in a first reaction tank 2 and a second reaction 9, a turbid water in a turbid water tank 1 flows over into flocculating precipitation tanks 13, where the flocs are allowed to settle and accumulate on the bottom thereof as sludge. The plural numbers of flucculating precipitators 13 are arranged to be used alternately for discharging the sludge. At the upper part of the precipitators 13, gutters 14 are provided and communicated to a water gathering pipe 17 arranged at the bottom of the precipitators 13 through a communicating pipe 18. The water gathering pipe 17 is communicated to the bottom of the water collection tank 16 on the side of a post-treatment apparatus outside the precipitators. Supernatant flowing over into the gutters 14 flows into the water collection tank naturally while communicated to the post-treatment apparatus with the shortest distance.
