PURPOSE: To simplify the constitution of an automtic record player, by providing a starting plate which turns on and off a switch in interlocking with the starting plate, and a hooking plate that hooks the starting plate.

CONSTITUTION: An automatic lead-in mechanism of a tone arm 2 containing independent switches of each other is provided along with an automatic return mechanism. Then switches 27 and 62 are set in parallel into a starting circuit of a turntable driving motor B. At the same time, the switch 27 is turned on and off with the operation of a starting plate and the end of the lead-in action of the arm 2 respectively. While the switch 62 is turned on and off with a return action of the arm 2 and the end of the return action of the arm 2, respectively.
