PURPOSE: To operate an extruder for a long period without the abrasion of a temperature measuring element, by maintaining a molten resin temperature at a desired temperature according to the molten resin temperature in a cylinder measured by a temperature measuring element in a bin protruded to the outer surface of a screw.
CONSTITUTION: A temperature measuring hole 11 is drilled on a hollow part 10 bored in the axial direction of the cored screw 9 of an extruder 1, a hollow bin 12 protruded to the outside of the screw 9 is screwed into the temp. measuring hole 11 while the temperature measuring element 13 is inserted thereinto so as the temperature sensing part 13a protrudes outside of the screw 9 body. A molten resin temperature in a cylinder 2 which is measured by the element 13 is inputted to a temperature controller 5 via an adapter 14 of a screw 9 base part, a slip ring mechanism 15 and a lead wire 19. The temperature controller 5 detects the molten resin temperature of each temperature controlling zone in the cylinder 2 and controls operations of a heater 6 or a cooling block 7 to make it coincide with a desired molten resin temperature and the molten resin temperature in the cylinder 2 is made to coincide with the desired molten resin temperature.
