PURPOSE: To print marks on a semi-spherical face at one time for reducing the number of printing processes by a method in which the semispherical face of a hard sphere is covered with a transfer foil printed with marks and then pressed by a hot pad having an elastic pressing face.

CONSTITUTION: A ball 1 is fixed on a base 4, the roll 21 of a transfer foil 2 is attached to an intermittent elevator, and the transfer foil 2 is covered on the ball 1. Then, while pressing the surface of the ball 1 by a hot pad 5, the pad 5 is inclined through links 6 connected with an incliner before and behind, right and left or in all directions, and transfer printing is made. Also, for the other semi-spherical face, and the ball 1 is turned half and transfer printing is made in the same way as the foregoing. In this case, the pressing face 51 of the pad 5 is heated by a built-in electric heater of a cylindrical form bonded with a silicone rubber plate 51, having a curved face of a curvature radius as much as about two times that of an object to be printed.
