PURPOSE: To surely perform particulate combustion with an oil burner in an exhaust pipe, by discharging an accumulated charge of a capacitor charged with an output of a DC booster between electrodes of a spark plug to operate ignition.

CONSTITUTION: An intense spark is intermittently generated to a particular combustion spark plug of a burner by an instantaneous discharge of a capacitor charged by an output of a DC booster, and even Diesel fuel of bad firing quality is surely fired to eliminate waste of the fuel and surely perform combustion of particles seized in an exhaust pipe. Further the booster for charging the capacitor is constituted to be selectively used for an ignition power source of two systems of starting (plasma ignition in a combustion chamber or burner ignition in an intake pipe) and particle burning in the exhaust pipe, and improvement of starting quality and prevention of particle pollution are simultaneously attained by a single power source.
