Abstract:

PURPOSE: Fine flakes of dried fish are combined with fine strings of sea weed and they are formed into a shape to produce a food product of dried fish flakes with a certain strength.

CONSTITUTION: Flakes of dried fish such as bonito, mackerel, tuna, horse mackerel, or sardine, or dried small sardines are cut or crushed into fine pieces and they are combined with fine pieces or fibers of dried laver, sea tangle or WAKAME sea weed, further with a small amount of water and seasonings, then milled with hot rollers into a shape. The product may be in the form of rolls or sticks in addn. to sheets. The sea weed is added for reinforcing.
