Abstract:
PURPOSE:To carry out flow control precisely in proportion to the rotating angle of a ball valve, by forming a hollow passage in a ball and also forming, in the lateral surface of the ball, a communication hole in such a shape that its width is narrow at one end thereof and is more and more increased toward the other end thereof. CONSTITUTION:An inlet port 11a which is communicated with the upstream side (a) of a valve casing 10 is formed in a partion wall 11 at the side opposite to a rotating lever 2, and a ball 1 is formed, in the surface thereof opposite to the rotating lever 2, with an opening part 1a facing the inlet port 11a so that a passage 4 in a hollow shape is formed. A communication hole 5 having its width which is narrow at its one end and is more and more increased toward the other end, is formed, extending over a range of 270deg in the lateral surface of the ball 1. Accordingly, flow control with high accuracy may be carried out in proportion to the rotating angle of the ball 1.
