Abstract:

NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by the formulaI(A is H, lower alkyl, or phenyl; B is H or lower alkyl; C is H, lower alkyl, halogen, etc.; X and Y are H, lower alkyl, or lower alkoxy; Z is CH or N).

EXAMPLE: N-[ ( 4-Methoxy-6-methylpyrimidin-2-yl )aminocarbonyl ]-1,3-dimethyl-5- methoxypyrazole-4-sulfonamide.

USE: A herbicide. Useful for destroying various kinds of weeds in nonagricultural land such as a vacant lot, etc. besides agricultural and gardening fields such as a plowed field, etc.

PROCESS: A pyrazolesulfonyl isocyanate derivative shown by the formula II is reacted with an aminopyrimidine derivative or an aminotriazine derivative shown by the formula III in an inert solvent such as dioxane, etc., to give a compound shown by the formulaI. In the reaction, the addition of a veryl small amount of a base such as pyridine, etc. promotes the reaction easily.
