Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a solar battery with high conversion efficiency by a method wherein a bar shaped substrate with a good conductor surface is defined as one side electrode, then light activated amorphous Si layer and a transparent conductive layer are superposed on the surface, and the other side electrode constituted of a long good conductive layer is provided on a part of the transparent conductive layer. CONSTITUTION:The substrate wherein metallic plating is performed on a metal or a glass, etc. is used. It is preferable to use a bar shaped substrate with diameter or width approx. 5-2mm.. The entire periphery is covered with the amorphous Si 3 of N<+>-I-P<+> type three layers, then an InO4 is superposed thereon, and the good conductive layer 5 of Ag, etc. is adhered on the lower half of the substrate. When this bar shaped solar battery 7 is arranged at the focus of a concave mirror 6 which follows the movement of the sun, the incident light becomes vertical into the battery 7 with hardly being shielded, and therefore high conversion efficiency can be obtained.
