PURPOSE: To permit superior taking-up of a film-like article at a constant speed without reducing the film-like article feeding speed and the taking-up speed by installing a guide belt for introducing the cut end of the film-like article onto the replated taking up core, shiftably in the upper part of said replaced taking up core.

CONSTITUTION: When the amount of a film-like article 1 taken-up onto a taking- up core 4a reaches a prescribed value, a guide belt 5 is shifted to the position where it comes in contact with a replaced taking-up core 4. The end of the film- like article 1 cut by a cutter 3 is introduced to the winding direction of the taking-up core 4b by the guide belt 5, and coinding onto the taking-up core 4b is performed. In this case, the guide belt 5 is constituted of a plurality of guide belts 5aW5f, and each speed of the guide belts 5aW5f is increased in succession from the side making contact with the cut starting side of the film-like article 1 to wards the side making contact with the cut completion side. Therefore, winding-up of the film-like article 1 onto the replaced taking-up core 4b is carried out certainly.
