PURPOSE: To achieve a higher performance in the detection of a target eliminating moving clutters by introducing an output signal of a receiver sequentially into an interrupting area forming filter to set the interrupting area so that the output of the filter is below a specified value sequentially sweeping the filter on the frequency axis with respect to signals of the same distance.
CONSTITUTION: A radar transmission repeated signal is derived sequentially and fed to an antenna 17 through a transmission/reception switch 16 with a transmitter 11. A reflected signal of the signal radiated from the antenna 17 is introduced to a receiver 18 through the antenna 17 and the switch 16 to convert it into frequency. Receiving an output signal of the receiver 18 fed sequentially, a processing arithmetic unit 27 sweeps an interrupting area forming filter sequentially on the frequency axis corresponding to a radar transmission repeated cycle with respect to signals received of the same distance and makes an arrayal. A residual clutter output is detected with a detector 29 from an output signal of the arithmetic unit 27 and the output thereof is processed with means 31, 33 for selecting and setting a film 28 as the output is below the specified value.
