PURPOSE: To make a bending device simple and enable easy bending by holding a metallic tube by a fixed clamp, a variable clamp and flattening preventing dies and bending the tube successively by the variable clamp.
CONSTITUTION: A tube A is inserted into a die material 41 for a variable clamp 4, a die material 51 for a fixed clamp 5 and die materials 2 for flattening prevention. After holding the tube A by pulling a hydraulic cylinder 11 lightly, die materials 2 for flattening prevention are adjusted. Then, the arm 42 of the variable clamp 4 is drawn near to the lower end by contracting the rod 12 of the hydraulic cylinder 11, and the clamped part of the tube A is bent. The rod 12 is then extended to loosen clamping of the tube A. The tube A is placed on guide rollers 44, 54, and a wire W attached to the end of the tube A is pulled through a guide roller 55 to move the tube A properly to the right. Bending of the tube A can be carried out easily by performing similar bending operation successively.
