Abstract:
PURPOSE:To smoothly move a slider, by forming a groove or hole for removal of grease or air vent to the slider displacing a sleeve in a device which relatively rotates a pair of sleeves in crankshaft and cam shaft sides to control valve timing. CONSTITUTION:If an output shaft 22 is rotated by a motor 21 to perform linear motion of a driving sleeve 23 screwed to a threaded part of the shaft 22, a slider 17 fitted to said sleeve 23 through a bearing 28 and bearings 15, 16 on a shaft 19 are moved in the same direction. In consequence, relative rotary motion is performed between an outer sleeve 10 and inner sleeve 6 through mutually crossing sleeves 13, 14 fitting the bearings 15, 16, and positions of a crankshaft (not shown in the drawing) and a cam shaft B are changed to adjust valve timing. Here a groove 17B is formed in the longitudinal direction to a fitting face with the sleeve 6 of said slider 17, and spaces S1, S2 are communicated through said groove 17B to smoothly move the slider 17.
