PURPOSE: To obtain a printing plate giving an image having a superior three- dimensional feeling by applying a photosensitive resin soln. to the surface of a screen gauze stretched on a frame to form a resin film, further forming a patterned photosensitive resin film, exposing the films through a desired pattern, and removing the unexposed part.

CONSTITUTION: A screen gauze 2 is stretched on a frame 1, and a photosensitive resin soln. is applied and dried to form a resin film 3 and to fill the openings in the gauze 2. On the film 3 a patterned resin film 4 is formed using the same photosensitive resin soln. The films are irradiated with ultraviolet rays or the like through a desired pattern, and the unexposed part is dissolved and removed to obtain a screen plate having a thin film 5 and a thick film 6. The screen plate is mounted on a substrate 7 such as plywood, and synthetic resin paint is poured and rubbed in with an elastic squeezer of rigid rubber or the like to carry out printing. Thick parts 8 and gradually thinned parts 9 are formed, and a printed decorative material having a superior three-dimensional feeling is obtd.
