PURPOSE: To make flux distribution uniform and to improve cooling effect by a method wherein ring-shaped blockading plates are provided over the whole periphery on the outer edges of horizontal oil ducts formed between winding blocks so as to blockade the cooling oil flowing out of the horizontal oil ducts to the part other than the winding.
CONSTITUTION: A sheet winding 1 is formed by stacking up winding blocks B1W B4, which is completed by winding a plurality of windings 6 on the periphery of inside insulating cylinders 2 wound on an iron leg through spacers 4 provided at proper spaces in such a manner as to form vertical oil ducts 5 between inside the insulating cylinders 2, in order to form horizontal oil ducts 8 between the blocks through horizontal spacers 7. Then the whole body is soaked in cooling oil. Ring-shaped plates 10 are provided on the outside edges 8a of the oil ducts 8. Accordingly, the cooling oil flowing out of the lower horizontal oil ducts is allowed to maintain uniform flux distribution without flowing out of the outside edges 8a of the middle and upper horizontal oil ducts 8.
