Title:
PRODUCTION OF DIGITAL MAGNETIC HEAD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS58179930
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a digital magnetic head which is assembled easily and with high accuracy, by providing plural groove parts to both U and I bars at a prescribed pitch, burying a nonmagnetic materials into the groove parts and adhering them together via a nonmagnetic gap to obtain a reading/writing bond bar and an erasing bond bar.

CONSTITUTION: Plural groove parts are provided at a prescribed pitch to the counter surfaces between U and I bars 10a and 10b of a ferromagnetic material. Then nonmagnetic materials 12a are buried into those groove parts and joined together via nonmagnetic gaps 13a to obtain an R/W bond bar 14a. In the same way, an erasing (E) bond bar 14b having groove parts of a double pitch is formed. These two bars 14a and 14b are adhered together via a nonmagnetic spacer 15 so that the parts of the bars I are set opposite to each other. Then a rear cut is formed to such a bar block, and this block is cut at the center where the nonmagnetic matter of the bar 14a is buried. Thus a core 20 in which both R/W and E cores are preformed is obtained. In such a way, a digital magnetic head is obtained with facilitated assembly and high accuracy.
