Abstract:
PURPOSE:To allow an adjusting valve to function effectively even when a normal control system fails by duplicating a control system with the normal control system and a stand-by control system. CONSTITUTION:A switching unit 11 is connected to the diaphragm 3 of a valve body 1, and a normal control system 4 and a stand-by system provided with electric/pneumatic converters 8, 13, positioners 9, 14, and booster relays 10, 15 respectively are connected to the switching unit 11. In addition, a failure diagnostic unit 6 is connected to the normal control system 4, and its output is fed to the switching unit 11. Thereby, when the normal control system fails, the switching unit 11 is transferred by means of the failure diagnostic unit 6, and the control system of the valve is switched to the stand-by control system 5, thus allowing an adjusting valve to function effectively.
