Abstract:
PURPOSE: To automatically open or close the gates of a three-side tipper dump truck by actuating a locking hook by means of two working pieces and a toggle mechanism.
CONSTITUTION: A hook 11 for locking a gate 9 is connected by a rod 21 to a toggle mechanism 30. The toggle mechanism 30 is equipped with a primary working member 42 and a secondary working member 47 which are actuated when the gate is opened or closed. The secondary working member 47 is actuated only when the dump truck dumps goods rearward, on account of which the rear gate will not opened when the truck dumps them at both sides.
