Title:
COPPER ALLOY FOR FIN OF RADIATOR FOR CAR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5834153
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enhance the corrosion resistance of the fins of a radiator for a car without reducing the heat conductivity by using a Cu alloy contg. specified amounts of Zn, Al and Ni, Fe or P as the material of the fins.
CONSTITUTION: The fins of a radiator for a car are manufactured with a Cu alloy contg. 0.2W5.0% Zn, 0.01W0.5% Al and 0.005W0.5% in total of one or more among Ni, Fe and P. By the synergistic effect of the added elements the fins having high resistance to corrosion due to the air contg. NOx, SOx and Cl compounds can be manufactured while almost maintaining the heat conductivity which is important to the fins.
